Does passing any microsoft exam allow you to use Logos? I have 70-536 but need a 2nd exam to get a certification. How do you find out if you qualify. I guess I don't or microsoft would have told me?

  • Go to the MCP site (you should have got an email invite if it was your first exam) and check your transcript. That shows all the certs you have.

  • Congratulations -

When you go to the mcp.microsoft.com site - you will see the Logo's that are relevant to your qualifications. You can build up Virtual Business Cards and Transcripts that can be published and attached to your resume.

By passing just the one exam you will be an "MCP", then depending on your road, it will be MCTS, MCITP, MCSA, MCSE etc...

One thing to mention is that the pass mark is 700-1000, the only time that you will see that is on your Prometric Result Sheet. Once you have Passed/Failed it will just show you that ... No scoring is kept on the site.

So you dont need to mention your score next to the logo. Passing the exam is a significant acheivment.... Well done.

Please don't trust me, test the solutions I give you before using them.

  • go to the MCP site and check the regs there. Microsoft have very strict regs about the size and placement of the logo on letterheads and CVs
