Permissions for SQL Server

    This can be tricky, but can someone explain how the SQL Server service account actually is used for processes like backups, attaching dbs, etc and how to check it's permissions? Maybe show an example of where you have rights from your account to a folder for backup, or moving an MDF, but the service account does not and how to fix this.
