There is a ‘planning-form template’ that feeds in data to some dimensions of a PPS planning. Using the same data that was submitted, a summary report needs to be generated.

  • There is a form template that takes data from different contributors. Now, same data is to be presented in the same template as report. This will be summary data... as in not for individual countries (as Contributors submitted) but for all countries within a region. Two approaches that we are considering are:

Approach1: A financial model with inbuilt dimension objects (dimensions cannot be customized).

Approach1: A generic model with customizable dimensions (calculations may have to be manipulated using PEL rules as the auto calculation feature is not available for this model)

    Issues:

1.Data is not getting pulled into the report as required. What is the best way to design it?

2.Some columns on contributors' sheet are defined as properties of a dimension. These cannot be mathematically manipulated using rules as properties are always handled as strings and not numeric. How to manipulate them in PEL rules?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks
