Hi all,
My sql server agent stopped last night and I'm trying to understand why. I've seen previous posts with this error description and my group policy for this user seems to be correct. This has been running under the same admin account now for months. Any ideas and thanks in advance for any help!

And did you do what it said and enable the XPs? What happened when you did?

Somebody must have run sp_configure or something. Did you try to reconfigure per the error message suggestions?

I ran stored procedure sp_configure and Agent XPs run value was 1. We booted the box at this point and all services came up cleanly.
