<name>I've used the [ code ] [ / code ] tags from the shortlist for the code and then the "& l t ;" and the "& g t ;" shortcuts for the brackets.
Just remember to use the correct IFCODE. Meaning [ CODE ] for code and XML, and QUOTE for text. The most recent iteration of IFCODE seems less tolerant of text in a CODE block, effectively blowing up the page width (as I found out a few days ago). It didn't seem quite so sensitive before (just have to break the habit I suppose).
