performance tuning scenario

    Hi All,

    I am in need off potential triggering point of SQL server performance.

    In my case i am looking for which are or may not be fairly visible within SQL Server framework as an indicator by means of DBA running a SQL and trying to find what is going with such perforamance issue.

    in a retrospect what are basic issue which can be alerted to DBA and avoid some particular task as addition to DBA as a utility.

    There is no set thing to look for. Is there a problem with your server?

    Usually you check if things are slow. If you want to generally tune everything, start by running Profiler, seeing what's run often, and then try to speed it up.

    Thanks for reply.

    I am working on my MS project for performance tuning agents.

    I need SQL server use cases in which I can find problem with sql queries then compare with acceptable thresholds and then agent suggest changes(query to make changes).
