• Four years down the road, and we now find ourselves in a society even more divided by identity and tribalism. However, I will say that those of us who work in the field of IT, or other branches of engineering, we tend to be more logical and reasonable than the general public, because we work in the realm of measurable facts and proven best practices. Despite being in the industry for two decades, I love to be [proven] wrong, because it expands my knowledge and makes me a stronger professional. That's what you should look for when interviewing candidates, someone who loves to expand their knowledge, even if it means occasionally admitting to yourself or others that your old way of doing things is not the best way.
