We are looking into offloading some databases to azure and all of our databases are on shared sql instances, some servers with multiinstances. for the DTU calculators to work, I need to isolate perfmon counters for each database. according to a note on the calculator webpage:
" The following utilities (Command Line EXE and PowerShell Script) capture CPU and IOPS at the server level, not for a specific database. To capture performance at the database level, you'll need to use SQL Server DMVs to isolate the database. Unfortunately, I don't have a script and I can't provide additional guidance."

Does anyone have any experience or some guidance in how to proceed going about that with DMVs?
