Thanks for the input. MDX often challenges people who have mastered SQL, for more reasons than one. The functions you mention are but a few examples of significant conceptual differences in approaches to querying cube space. And with regard to Mosha, I have to say that my esteem for him - already quite high - only grows with the passage of time. 🙂
...and it was sooooooooooo unnecessary to put those in functions. Standard syntax would have worked just as well while lowering the learning curve a bit -- maybe more than a bit.
