Hello Masters,I am trying to install MSSQL Server 2008 R2 cluster on OS Windows server 2008 R2, installation failing with below error:
The cluster resource 'SQL Server' Could not be brought online. Error:The resource failed to come online due to the failure of one or more provider resources. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x800071736)
Can anyone help me in this regard ?
A number of things could cause this, and you'll need to review your Event logs to see what failed. A few things to check, make sure your DTC service and drives are all available to your SQL Server which should be listed under Services and Applications. If that looks good then the Event Logs or possibly the SQL Server logs would be the next place to check. Unfortunately this is a rather high level error which could mean lots of things.
