Unfortunately, we recently had our development server die on us. :crazy: Fortunately, we were able to get the data from the server but we're struggling to get everything attached back into SQL. We have reinstalled SQL and attached the SQL databases. However, we also had SSAS cubes on this server and we can't seem to find a way to get them back in. We were hoping the attach task would work just like it did for the database engine, but either we can't figure it out or it doesn't allow us to do that.
Here is what we have: In a separate folder from the old server we have a *.db folder for each cube which contains a *.dim folder for each dimension, a *.ds folder for the data source, a *.cub folder which looks to contain the measure folders and fact folder, along with an XML file for each of the above mention folders.
Is there a way to take these files and get them back into Analysis Services or do we need to go through the process of deploying the cubes from source control and then reprocessing? Thanks!
