  I am getting the following error message.

  Error 2 opening reg key in sqlboot!GetSkuInfo. Reg Key: Software\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server\100\DTS\Setup.

  [32008] Error 2 opening reg key in sqlboot!GetSkuInfo.

  I looked in Google to see if I can get more information regarding this error. Unfortunately, I did not find anything that I could use to help me resolve the main problem.

  Description of the main problem.

  We are using an help desk application BMC Service Express. From time to time the w3wp.exe IIS worker process consumes 100% of the CPU. When this happens it causes everyone to loose connection to the SQL server which is also running the BMC Service Express application. The simple fix was either to kill the w3wp.exe process or reboot the server.

  Well I do not want to do this anymore and I am trying to find the root cause of the problem. One of the things that I did to trouble shoot this problem was to run the DbugView (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896647.aspx) to hopefully capture the catalyst of this problem.

  I captured a lot of information using DbugView and I am sifting through all the information. At the present time I am trying to get more information on the error message that I indicated above.

  So, if you have any insight on this I would appreciate it very much! 🙂
