Hi folks,
I have a back-office server running Windows XP Professional SP3 with SQL 2008 Express R2 server and 3 clients running Windows XP Embedded with SQL 2005 Express.
The POS application (MS Retail Management) throws the following error message when running a sync process with the SQL 2008 and SQL 2005 server...
OLE DB provider "SQLNCLI" for linked server "(null)" returned message "Unable to complete login process due to delay in opening server connection"
I reviewed some posts and they all point to install the SQL Server 2008 R2 Native Client OLEDB, I did and I still get the same error when running the sync process.
I should add these hosts are behind the firewall and only connection allowed from clients to the back-office server is TCP 1433.
Any pointers, ideas or suggestions are much appreciated.
