    THANKS!!! I had a db that up until today was doing a CHECKDB every few seconds... never reported any errors, but certainly filling up my event log.

    It wasn't running checkDB every few seconds. It was closing and reopening every few seconds and when SQL opens a database it prints the last date checkDB succeeded into the error log.
