DTS Task with Join Transaction If present Failed

  Hi,

  I'm new one with DTS and I have one problem with DTS Task. I had dts packages on SQL 2000 (W2003 32bit) that I moved on SQL 2008 R2 (W2008 64bit) as legacy packages. There are 30 packages and only some of them aren't working, those with DTS TASK (workflow properties) where "join transaction if present" is flagged. The task does some INSERT on remote instance of DB2 on AIX SERVER.

  ERROR LOG:

  Error Source: Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server

  Error Description: Unable to enlist in the transaction.

  Connection 'LOCALTABLES' for Task 'DTSTask_DTSExecuteSQLTask_5' does not support joining distributed transactions or failed when attempting to join. Unable to enlist transaction

  MSDTC is already enabled and configured as it must be.

  IBM DB2 Driver - configured for connections and is working well

  ODBC - configured as well

  I did a little search and didn't find anything that suites my case so I decide to open a topic here (my first topic 🙂 )
