Shrink log file in re index job running state....

  • As i am running re-index job, While running the re-indexing job on a server, log file size is growing ..can we shrink it directly ? what safety measures to do take ?... Please help me out any one...

  • don't shrink it, it will just grow again on the next reindex. Either back the log up more frequently, put the database in bulk logged mode during the reindex or simply ensure you have enough disk space to handle the reindex load.

  • Don't shrink the log.
