Warnings loading SSIS Configuration File

  • Hello Everybody:

While working in BIDS, I get the following warnings as soon as I open a package:

Warning loading DataWarehouse.dtsx: The configuration file name "E:\SSIS_Packages\DW_SSIS\Config_Files\SSIS_Configuration.dtsConfig" is not valid. Check the configuration file name.

Warning loading DataWarehouse.dtsx: Failed to load at least one of the configuration entries for the package. Check configuration entries for "SSIS_Configurations_OLEDB" and previous warnings to see descriptions of which configuration failed.

This is the first entry in the configurations, the path to the config file is valid, and my network credentials have the permissions to read/edit the file.

Curiously, if I add a second configuration entry pointing to the same file, I don't even have to complete the wizard to resolve the warning. I just get to the point where the file actually gets read, the abandon the wizard. Even restarting the computer after that shows the warnings have gone away.

However, in a couple of days, the warnings reappear.

I haven't found anything so specific on the web, so am hoping somebody here has seen this before and can help.

    Cheers,

    Simon
