I can't easily reproduce this error, so couldn't test this.
If you put the select in a try/catch block, is control passed to the catch block when the table is not found?
If you haven't even tried to resolve your issue, please don't expect the hard-working volunteers here to waste their time providing links to answers which you could easily have found yourself.
