Hi All,
I am new to SSAS and its been difficult in visualizing the way impersonation works from Development Environment to Production Environment. When I am doing cube development in my own PC and when I define data sources, I always use service accounts and it works fine for me.
My worry is, when I will deploy this SSAS cube to production environment how this impersonation will work ? whats is the best practice for handling this kind of migration from Development to Production.
Thanks,

After you deployed the cube to production, you can still change the impersonation level to a dedicated domain account.
You could also do it during the deployment by altering the XMLA file (depends on how you deploy of course).

Thanks for the reply. Changing the XMLA or changing it in Production sound like a solution to my problem but if I need to deploy my cube few times a week or month do not you think it really troublesome is changing each Data source details in PROD or in XMLA.
Is it the best way of doing in real life situation ?

I haven't used this much myself, but you might take a look at the SSAS deployment wizard. It's possible it does these things for you.
