Is it possible, in SSRS 2008 (not R2), to create a single or periodic snapshot report and have emails generated based on data within that report? For example, if a given numeric field is greater than, say, "80", send a copy of the report or any other custom email to selected addresses...
Have any of you seen another application that can do the "automatically"?
Thank you for your assistance.

This sounds like a data driven subscription. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms159762.aspx

Sean,
Thanks for the quick response.
May I assume from your answer that this capability does not exist in SSRS 2008; but requires SSRS 2012? And actually, 2012 plus SharePoint (see "Data Alerts", http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg492252.aspx)? I have read about that new capability.
However, I was hoping there might be a way to accomplish this using the current infrastructure as my team doesn't have the budget to add a new server and the existing server is used by many other teams.
Is there any sort of "workaround", other than hiring a temp to read the reports and send out emails? 😀

No the article I referenced is the MSDN topic. There is dropdown at the top to get version specific information. This feature started with SQL 2005.
