The SQL Agent job runs asynchronously - so it's not going to return 'finished' info to your application.
You could, perhaps, implement an MSMQ solution, though that may be a sledgehammer to crack a nut.
If you haven't even tried to resolve your issue, please don't expect the hard-working volunteers here to waste their time providing links to answers which you could easily have found yourself.
