I see. So for building forms, the front end to database solutions, which one is used?

Assuming you want to have forms like you are used to with Access you would be talking about building a desktop application so you would create a Windows Forms project. If you want to view this in a web browser you would create a Web Application. Either type of application has front end and can consume data. It all boils down to what you want to create.
