SSIS Container Connectors more user friendly?

I know, I'm completely Anal about this stuff; however, I don't like the connectors between the containers to be overlapping the container. It makes it harder to read/understand. I like my SSIS packages to be neat and tidy. I've tried several things to keep the connecter where I want it, but it always moves itself over other containers. How do I make them behave?

I'm not as OCD about where the connectors go, I also try to understand that the SSIS GUI is not intended to be Visio. Other than providing tons of Space between Containers, You can use Sequence Containers (which Can collapse) to organize chunks of logic together. also Like to use the Allignment Tiles from the Layout toolbar to make sure tops/Middles are alligned so the lines are straight. Other than that not much to do it is annoying when its very busy, and every time you open it, the lines are not in the same place.

Thanks.. However, I don't see a "Sequence" Container and since everything is alphabetical, clearly that means I'm missing something.

I used a Data Flow task that didn't do anything and put a couple of them out in midair to clean it up. Is that essentially the same thing?

Not really.

If you click the control flow tab, in the toolbox under Control Flow Items, I see it as the fourth item, "Sequence Container"

It #1 Contols Flow, Logical blocks of containers (SQL Tasks, Script Tasks, DataFlow Tasks) That must all succeed for Sequence container to Succeed.) Not necessarily there for organization. I commonly use it on larger packages.

Its also nice that you can collapse the sequence container for more screen real estate.

Ok. Anudder dumb question. I dropped some already existing containers into the Sequence Container. When I collapsed the Sequence container, all the Arrows were still visible, but everything collapsed. Any idea whats causing that? I even deleted them all, and started redoing them, no change. The only thing I can think of is that they're in groups, within the sequence container....

The sequence container provides a logical grouping.

If I collapse a sequence container all containers within are collapsed and I do not see any arrows.

I see arrows To other containers outside of the sequence container, which are connected as part of the control flow.

You need to make sure the container is dragged into the sequence container.

Sometimes they are in front or behind, but not within. which sounds like what your describing.

It actually has something to do with the fact that I grouped things first. If I collapse the group first, then collapse the container, the whole thing buttons up nicely... its weird, but it works.
