upgrading sql 2000 to sql 2008 will make any problem to my database ?

    i am running sql 2000 now my company has decided to go for sql server 2008.

    i have many tables,indexes,functions,procedures in my database. if i upgrade it, will it make any problem to me ?

    Something like some function or procedure will not work properly in sql 2008 which is running ok in sql 2000.

  • The answer is it depends. You need to have a test environment and test, test, test. If you don't have a test environment for the upgrade then you MUST get one. Look into and use the Upgrade advisor:
