    Does the login you're using during the restore have "SA" privs or not?

    If the answer is "no", then try that first.

    If the answer is "yes", then either the backup media is bad or your backup was from a corrupt database to begin with.

  • I Connect using sa

    And I have 5 bak files. all of these files are restored before.

    Because of a hardware error I change VGA and RAM then install windows 7 and sql server 2008 r2 64 bit edition.

    then i try to restore my data base from any of these backups and I see error.
