Who's sending you this document? Ask them for the layout docs. Unless you get lucky and someone who reads this thread has worked with that exact file before, EDI is too varied without the layout docs.
Never stop learning, even if it hurts. Ego bruises are practically mandatory as you learn unless you've never risked enough to make a mistake.
