Great editorial about learning in the margins!

This is quite a timely editorial because last night I was watching the OKC - Spurs NBA playoff game while setting up an ESXi virtual server for home use during the commercials and half time. I've used virtualization with Windows as the host up to now but I wanted to try and expand my horizons a bit by seeing if I could get virtualization running on bare metal.

It wasn't long before I found myself editing python files in RAM on the fly without rebooting in order to get ESXi to install on my hardware. By the beginning of the 3rd quarter I had it up and running and was able to enjoy the rest of the game knowing I had just done some learning in the margins without really missing out on anything.

Who needs all those commercials anyways? 😉
