    An other instance can use a different CPU and threads. But your right, it really depends on the hardware.

    Hmm, think I'd create another VM and install SQL there before I started playing with Processor affinity 😀

    Yeah i think your right in that, most research will cost you much more time.

    And like the first response said, your overview will be better.
