We are public sector so obviously the pay is less than private sector. It is secure job in the current market of recession.How much would you get paid in the USA for BI Developer with 3-4 years of experience?
it will be interesting to know the different salary of USA & UK.
BI developers are typically SQL developers that expanded their skils into BI. At least that is how I am doing it.
The other two BI developers I know also came from a SQL developer background.
So I would think a BI developer would get about the same or more than a SQL developer.
I think most experienced SQL developers are in the $80,000+ range in the USA.
$63,000 per year is entry level (or very little experience 1-2 years) money for a SQL Server developer.
Most BI developers have serious SQL experience before they start on BI.
Or is my observation way off from the normal?
If someone told me they have 3-4 years of BI experience, I would expect they also have 5-7 years of SQL development experience.
