  Hello,

  I came across a different kind of backup on SQL server Litespeed V6.5 called ADAPTIVE compression and in the previous versions Litespeed is having SmartDiff backup.

  Could anyone explain me the difference between both the backup types?

  Below is the explanation provided in the Quest. But i want to know the difference between the adaptive compression and smartdiff.

  "The new Adaptive Compression feature provides you with more flexibility over the existing LiteSpeed compression levels. Adaptive Compression maintains optimal backup performance by continually monitoring the backup and dynamically changing the compression level based on available server resources. Backups can be optimized for speed or size, while ensuring they do not interfere with normal server activity. "
