I think you people in the United States have forgotten the meaning of Memorial Day. All you can think about is your long weekend and time off.
Based on what I saw yesterday with my own eyes, I can't agree with that statement. Flags decorate the graves of our servicemen. People attended the memorial service in the park nearby. Parades and concerts were given in honor of the fallen and for those still serving.
Doesn't seem like the meaning has been forgotten to me.
