Interesting question.

Unhelpful explanation with no reference to documentation. I'm not at all clear what the connect entry means - the originator hasn't responded to the question raised in the MS response so it isn't clear what he was suggesting; nor is it at all clear to me whether the suggestion is to replace the table in just the single selected FROM clause (in which case I don't think it's worth cluttering the GUI with it) or in some wider scope (which might make it useful) which isn't defined in the proposal. So I won't be voting for it, because I have no real idea what is being asked for. Nor will I vbote against it (for the same reason).
