Sure, I agree that its easier to run a script than to click through a wizard every time. But if the user uses the wizard only once, configuring the backup with the schedule and options that (s)he wants, then scripts it out, its much easier than editting your text file by hand.

Is there a bonus feature in your script that is not included when using the wizard?
