• Da-zero: I doubt you will ever see somethign like this on an exam question. I would object to this kind of question, personally.

Hugo: I am considering every option for course deliveries. I'm writing (more like desiging than writing...) a course called Mastering SSIS. I'm thinking of people who already know how to write SSIS packages and deploy them to a Production environment. It includes every quirk (like the quirk mentioned in this question) of which I am aware, loads of SSIS design patterns, SSIS framework components, maintenance and troubleshooting techniques. Another option is mentoring: I can work with you on an hourly basis and with your data on an hourly basis. I've done this kind of work remotely in the past, with success. Contact me if I can help you sir.

Daniel and Sandroid: Thanks! I encountered the need to run encrypted and non-encrypted packages from the same dynamically-configured Execute Package Task. Like a good engineer I conducted a smoke test, and it passed! Thank goodness. I would have needed to do something else if it hadn't.

Sean: I've done the same thing a bunch of times. Great minds...

I'll have a couple more questions in coming weeks. Thanks for the encouragement and feedback!
