Executing maintenance plan with multiple subplans

    In SQL2005 SP2 and SQL2008 SP1 you can create a maintenance plan with multiple subplans and it will run on the schedules you specify.

    However, it will not run if you attempt to manually execute a maintenance plan with multiple subplans.

    Does anyone know if this is intended behaviour?

    I've just created this account to inform anyone that this behavior still exisit in SQL Server 2012! WTF! 
    Spend multiple hours, finding an error.
