  • This will be my first time in Vegas too. I'm not crazy about gambling, but I understand other forms of entertainment are available. I'll spend most of my time at the conference though.

  • Me too! I think I'm one of those "less than great" ones.

  • When going to a vacation-destination city on business, the best plan is to take a day before or after (works really nice if the work is done during the week and you have a weekend on one end or the other with no business) to use for playtime. The company pays for travel both ways, and hotel and food costs for the work days, and you only have to pay for hotel and food for the extra days.

  • I haven't been to a conference in Vegas since 1983! I don't gamble at all, so the only interesting diversion I found for the evenings was "Fly-Away", the vertical wind tunnel that simulates parachuting.

    p.s. when at conferences, I attend all the sessions I can - I don't skip out early for personal activities.

    also, we have no travel budget this year, so will not be attending any out-of-town events.
