  • Hii Folks, Im new to Sql Server, I have an issue with SSRS Server installation on my notebook,Im running Windows Vista SP1 with SQL Server 2005 developer version with SP2,firewall disabled, IIS enabled in services.Followed the steps on MS website enabled IIS 7 and tried to remove and reinstall SQL Server but no luck, Reporting Services are disabled or greyed out totally during installation no option to select(Integration,Analysis,DB engine got installed and working well), Can you give me some suggestions on how to fix it?. Thanks in advance

  • I am sorry I could not open your attachment because my box crashed on Monday.

    If SSRS is disabled in Vista it means you are not running Vista Ultimate or Business because SSRS 2005 requires Windows authentication and those two editions are the only edition with IIS 7 with Windows authentication. If you are in a development box I can give you some solution using SSRS 2008 with 2005 relational engine.

    Here is the hack for development purposes only using SQL Server 2005 relational engine with SSRS 2008 which does not require IIS. Go to the last comment in the link below.
