ERROR: INSTALL SQL SERVER 2000 on Cluster...

  • Hello,

I´m installing one SQL Server 2000 named instance in a cluster where i've got another two named instances with SQL.

The machine(s) where im installing SQL Server is a 64bit AMD Windows Server 2003 and the SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition 32 bits.

Setup aborted with the following errors:

The 1st error was Error occurred while creating virtual server resources" error message when you install Virtual SQL Server on a cluster computer and i've checked the following link (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/811024/en-us)

The second error was "The cluster resource failed to come online. If extended error information was reported by the clustering service it can be obtained from the event log." and i've checked the following link (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/815431/en-us)

The point is as follows: setup stops and abort all instalation, when i see event viewer one of the following error appears

The description for Event ID ( 17055 ) in Source ( MSSQL$SPE2E_Q1 ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: 19013, SQL server listening on Shared Memory, Named Pipes.

Other event that i get in event viewer is:

    "Wow64 Emulation Layer" + event id 1109

I don't know how to get a solution since all posts that.

    Hope u can help me,

    Regards,

    JMSM 😉
