Resource Monitor and Lazy Writer on SP_WHO2

  • Hi All

When i use SP_WHO2 and see the process the first 3 process with SPID 1,2,3 are RESOURCE MONITOR,LAZY WRITER,LOCK MONITOR, on all my servers, this has got 0 diskI/O and a huge CPU Time, and the date is the date when the instance was last resatrted,

Does this affect performance on the system, if so how can i clear this??

Please give me a light on this 😀

    Cheers

    🙂

  • Hello CrazyMan,

Do not crazy about SPID 1,2,3...

I mean do not worry about 1 to 50 SPID it's exclusively used by internal system. You should worry about 51 onwards SPID.

    Good Day!

  • Thanks mate

I can see that, but i am just worried about the system performance, will this affect any performance???? 🙂

  • If performance is affected will you kill?

Irespective of performance; you can't kill system processes you will get messge "Only user processes can be killed."

JUST DO NOT WORRY ABOUT THIS PROCESSES.
