Dynamic rendering of report

    Hi

    In another report my requirement is as follows:

    there are two kinds of notes:General and Reference

    Now these wud display on same page only and the page is split in two parts vertically.like:

    General REference

    1. gvhgkbjkl 1.cvuergiogh

    2.jhcvgvhvh 2.kjwahfiu g

    3.kjvgkodzgjo 3.hfg jhgcgye

    1)If number of General Notes is less and Refernce notes is more then Refernce notes can move into the same tab as of General notes and continue.like::

    General 4.jkghueighiuglhgjk

    1.jhfdiusg 5.xcjvhbgfdji

    2.sjkhgdsigjk 6.ddkgjdfgkjhogij

    7.sjkfhiughighngjkbn

    Reference 8.vkjfhgfdkghdfjkgb

    1.hgieghgkhj 9.cdshgfvshdgbj

    2.jhfgghgihg 10.dskjghfjgkhjkgh

    3.fkjiothujorihj

    And this would happen only in case Reference notes are more and General are less.(this is because as i told previosly i don;t want he notes tomove to another page.so they all ahve to be accomodtaed on the single page itself).

    Note:Notes(i.e. General and Refernece) can be of vaying length.

    i hope somebody wud help me out in dynamic rendering of this report.

    to make the problem bit simpler wat i want is:

    I have divided the page into two columns:

    Now the general alignment wud be like:

    General 1.gvhgkbjkl 4.cvuergiogh

    2.jhcvgvhvh 5.kjwahfiu g

    3.kjvgkodzgjo 6.hfg jhgcgye

    what i mean to say here is that :

    after data in first column is filled it should move to the second column(which is on same page) instead of the another page.

    Pleas ehelp me if this can be done in any ways:

    SSRS does support columns. The setting is found under the layout tab of Report Properties. Be aware columns apply to the entire report and they will not appear until exported, such as to Acrobat.

    thanx for the reply.

    but i want that when user sees a report in report viewer then he should see the report in the same fromat as it wud appear after export.

    what iam currently doing is i have bifurcated the dataset into 2 ds1 n ds2 .now taken two table controls .on ein col1 n another in col2 .n assigned ds1 to table1 n ds2 to table2.
