Hi, I have a typical ETL scenario where we load data from text files to the database. A SQL standard login has been created with elevated rights and a stored procedure uses this login (EXECUTE AS) to start a job. The SQL login has proper SQLAgent groups assigned.
I have also created a credential and a proxy and the job steps run using this proxy. The problem is that unless I make the windows account that the creadential is based upon, a local administrator, my jobs keep on failing. As soon as the credential windows account is made the local admin, everything works fine.
How exactly are proxies and credentials to be used? What kind of permissions or group memberships does the credenital windows account need?
