Memory settings for SSAS with MDX and tabular

  • Set this up long ago, SQL Server 2014 SSAS with tabular and MDX instance on it.  We are more of a heavy tabular world.  I have 74 gig of memory for server total.  I thought there was a configuration to determine which instance got what percentage of memory.  So for Tabular would like 75% to go to that, can't remember where to set it is at.

    The memory settings can be configured with SSMS or the ini file.
    In SSMS, connect to SSAS, right click on the node and select properties. Memory configurations are on the General Page. You can also change it in the msmdsrv.ini file located in your OLAP\Config directory. There is a memory section for the settings. The link to the documentation for this:
