And now for something completely different.

  • We have a 2012r2 server with an Ipswitch WS-FTP server installed and a Postgres database. 
    Every week on Sunday at 8pm error 10054 is created on the FTP Server and it stops working.  
    No jobs are scheduled to run on the server at that time and no backups are happening.
    It has an separate application server which is 2008r2 and the Ipswitch Move-it product is installed there.
    A Move-it host is used to connect to the FTP Server and it functions normally except when the Sunday error occurs. No move-it jobs are scheduled to connect to the FTP Server on Sundays.
    So of course we'd like to know what is causing the FTP Server to shutdown.     Any insights are most welcome.
