I have a fair amount of experience with SQL Server Replication, but for the first time I've been asked to use Subscription Validation. It certainly seems like the checksum option is going to be a more intensive process than the row check. What's the performance impact of these? I was asked to set up this validation in an automated fashion like a frequently recurring check. Is that the intent of this functionality or is it meant to be used sparingly?
