Question about sys.certificates

    Hi All,

    Can anyone explain to me the actual purpose of the thumbprint field when selecting from sys.certificates? How sensitive is the data stored in that field?

    It is a hash of the certificate and not considered to be sensitive.

    It is a hash of the certificate and not considered to be sensitive.
