SQL 2016 Managed Backup - Frequent Log File Backups

  I'm using SQL 2016 Managed Backups on an Azure VM.    There is a data import job which runs overnight on a DB and takes about an hour.  During its execution, several 'Managed Backups' log file backups are being triggered. 

  The default setting for log backups is being used, which is every two hours.   But high activity is causing it to occur more frequently.   I've searched and searched but cannot find a way in SQL Managed Backups to adjust this activity level, or turn it off completely.

  Any suggestions are appreciated.

  I doubt you can do anything about it, there is a reason it is called 'Managed' backup
