Multiple SQL DBs in Sync for DR

  • Hello Gurus,
We have a request to document and set up DR for about 300 databases to another site.

Ours is a standalone critical Prod DB server, we cannot use always on , and are planning to use logshipping but given that there are 300 DB's this is a mess as well, with a  lot of manual work, monitoring, management etc. Do you recommend any third party tools which can handle this?

    Thank you in Advance.

  • Why can't you use Availability Groups (I assume that's what you mean by AlwaysOn)?

why cant you use failover groups or failover cluster instances

  • I agree...that a fail over cluster might be your best option IF you can not use ALWAYS ON and log shipping will be a mess as you state

  • If your only option is to use log shipping i would go with REDGATE for sure!!
