I would like to know what path should I take and also what I need to do in order to achieve either of these. I am currently working as a SQL Server DBA and have almost more than 7 years in this field but at some point later down the line I am planning to either move towards the Data Architect role or become a Technical Manager. I am okay with either of these as long as I don't have to do T-SQL etc (I am not too good in coding). Kindly, suggest me what steps one needs to take in order to bring one up to speed in either of these. Do I need to do any certification or get an MBA or an MS in some specialization and what are the resources or references that I can learn or use to achieve the same.
