Hi,

Though sys.extended_properties does exist in Azure DW, running
EXEC sp_addextendedproperty

returns an error of "Stored procedure sp_addextendedproperty does not exist or is not supported."

Is there still a way to add/modify an extended property for a column in there?

totally new to Azure DW, thanks in advance

No. According to the documentation, that won't work with Azure SQL Data Warehouse. It also doesn't work with APS.

Not at this time. It's just not supported yet. Kind of makes sense. There's not a table there, it's 60 tables behind the scenes. They just haven't gotten around to making that happen yet.
