  • Made the mistake of giving this to my team this morning, productivity is zero lol - best effort so far is 12 words, 9 to go!

Knock Knock, Who's There?, sp underscore, sp underscore who?
    spid1, spid2, spid3....

  • Got 15, only 6 more to go.

  • We just need 14 & 16 across now, but stuck to the max

Bring on the Answers Kenneth Fisher :p

14 across I belive the answer is on this page https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/relational-databases/logs/control-transaction-durability

I need 16 across myself also.

  • Can honestly, say, 10 years of looking after 30+ SQL servers, countless server builds, 1000's of hours maintaining, restoring and general DBa duties, not once have i come across DELAYED_DURABILITY - learnt something new! (although i would not touch it with a barge pole 🙂

So yup, got everything now apart from 16 across.

    Looking forward to the answer!

  • New 16 across was in relation to 4 part naming just for some reason the answer didn't seem right to me.

  • Yep. You got it. 16 across is just 4 part naming 🙂

I'm glad y'all are enjoying it.  I should have the answers posted to this discussion later tonight.

Oh, and DELAYED DURABILITY isn't all that bad when you think about it.  It's fairly new so I'm not surprised you haven't seen it before.

I wrote up my opinion on the risks here: https://sqlstudies.com/2016/04/12/the-risks-of-delayed-durability/
